International Pinot Noir Celebration in Oregon Turns 21

This annual event is held in McMinnville, an hour southwest of Portland, on the beautiful grounds of Linfield College. Arguably the benchmark of PN festivals, this brings in participating wineries from Austrlia, Chile, France, New Zealand and of course the US. At 40 degrees north, Oregon perhaps has the best pinot noir in America, and is second only to my favorite pinots along 40 degrees south in the southern hemisphere (Chile, Tasmania, NZ’s south island).

If you want a full immersion into the international world of pinot, this is THE event, with seminars, winemaker discussion panels, bus tours and gourmet meals.

For more on the 2008 International Pinot Noir Celebration, bookmark this site: www.ipnc.org. Or write fellow wine blogger Rusty Gaffney, The Prince of Pinot. He is the creator and editor of the first newsletter exclusively devoted to pinot noir.

Marry me, so I can be the Princess of Pinot! XX00 Dee
